Cozmek

Born in the poverty stricken streets of Havana, Cuba, Cozmek learned firsthand the meaning of hungry, traveling 90 miles over the atlantic and landing in MIA international airport at the age of nine, he caught his first glimpse of what life could be like in his new surroundings. Learning English quicker than most you could say, Cozmek has always had a way with words, after mastering the language he spent his teen years developing a love for hip-hop and graph writing. Going to high school and attending classes Cozmek was uninspired by teachers and even less concerned with a regular 9to5 lifestyle, he dropped out of school. Now facing a new hunger he found in himself, he had to look for an answer, always freestyling with friends he decided to turn a blunt burning past-time into a serious grind. He spent the next few years perfecting his craft teaming together with a long time friend and Miami native, Random, they created "No Cut", dropping their first mixtape "Make Way, We Jackin Beats" in 2003. After their release of "Make Way", Cozmek continued to record putting in a lot of booth time, in late '04 No Cut released a follow up mixtape "At it Again, We Jackin Beats" introducing new additions to the team including the name of their Miami based record label "Camp Can't Crumble".
Following that project Cozmek kept on hitting the lab hard to record his first solo mixtape "1&GO" which dropped early 2006. Now in 2007 Cozmek showed the world that he aint stopping anytime soon by dropping his second solo mixtape "PLAY THIS!! DON'T PLAY YOURSELF!! a very versatile project which shows he could flip it in every way and make songs just about anything from street joints to club bangaz including reggaeton. If you haven't noticed this kid is a problem and calling it quits is not in his vocabulary.

Born in the mid 80's J. Rugged was born in Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL with no father figure he was raised by his mother growing up looking over his sister and being the man of the house he looked to Hip Hop pioneers for life lessons "I remember growing up listening to KRS, Naughty by Nature, 2Pac, and Bone Thugs-n-Harnomy." By the time he was 14 he was already in a group called "i4ni" with childhood friends Kraze and Hamster, flowing alongside Kraze and dropping lyrics to hamsters beats everything felt right, but after the passing of Hamster(RIP) due to complications with his health he took time to reflect on life and his career but with time comes change and "i4ni" was no longer an option. In late 2003 Rugged had already been witness to the first "No Cut" mixtape, putting his past to rest and holding on to his boy's memory he made his debut on "At It Again, We Jackin Beats." Currently in the studio working on his solo debut his inspirations are coming from his 4 year old son Jason and recent newborn Jordan. "Its a blessing to do this, for them and the people I love." With a mixtape slated for release late 07, J. Rugged's face is a picture of anticipation. |

K-9

www.myspace.com/campcantcrumble
K-9 (KiLLaH NyNe) is a Southside 3-0-5 mc (CUTLER RIDGE). Born in North Philadelphia's Lincoln Hospital as Keenan Gill to what would become a single mother, K-9 his mother and older brother relocated to Miami at the tender age of 5. "I didn't even know what a Spanish person was...! Let alone Cubans, Columbians and all the other ethnicities Miami has!"
Feeling like an outsider a young and rebllious K-9 soon found himself surrounded by down south hoodlums and others from up north who had also made the switch to a warmer climate. Typical hood drama ensued, leading K-9 to jail, dropping out of high school and doin nothing "legally" productive. Music quickly became his solace as he learned to turn his pent up aggresion and frustration into superb lyrics and masterful metaphors.
Now at the age of 21, K-9 can see where he wants to be. "I'm a man full of passion and drive. My passion is for Hip-Hop and my drive is what's gonna get me heard. It ain't bout da hottest lyrics no more, it's about how hard u hustle dem hot lyrics!" Judging from his hustle, it's just a matter of time for the world hears those hot lyrics. With "Chronicles Of An MC" in miami streets now this Philly/Miami boi is ready for 07, currently in the lab recording his second mixtape there is no slowing this MC down.

EL DUQUE
www.myspace.com/campcantcrumble
Born on June 13th, 1979 in the Queens borough of New York City, JOEL GUSTAVO (EL DUQUE) DUQUE, son of a Colombian jazz musician and a Dominican artist, was always around music and was raised in his early childhood by musicians and music aficionados. At a very tender age of only five years old, living in the Santiago province of the Dominican Republic, he discovered hip hop music via Run DMC and quickly grew an inseparable bond and love to the young growing culture. In the late eighty’s, he and his family moved to Miami Florida where he started doing graffiti and fell into the street life. It was in the tough Miami streets during the early ninety’s where he was molded by his environment during his teenage years into a life of crime and substance abuse. Even though he has always had a deep love and appreciation for all genres of music, and has influences ranging from merengue and salsa to classic rock, his deepest love has always been to rap music. Street ciphers and lyrical battles as well as open mic freestyle competitions were routinely a hobbyist fix to quench his desire to his growing addiction to the music, even though it was never more than a past time and not really viewed as a career opportunity. “I was always on that grind as a teen”, says El Duque, “and rhyming was something we used to do as a hobby when we got high and bug out”. Fast Forward To 2008 with his first solo effort already in circulation "What They Do?" El Duque Joins Camp Can't Crumble and combines his witty-flow and effortless rhyming ability with a team that's already known for they're slick flowing style and creative marketing schemes, This MC provides a Latin savvy and a heavy street sense that brings The Camp full circle. With such a solid background in the hip hop community, and over 10 years experience in songwriting, El Duque is constantly approaching ways to establish a solid foundation in the business aspect of the industry and on becoming a force to be reckoned with within hip hop. With his profound determination and persistence, his career and future in the industry is very promising and with no immediate end in sight, he is foretold to be one of the greats in the game in due time.
